Kyiv: self-published, 1929. Octavo (25.3 × 18 cm). Original staple-stitched printed wrappers; 32 pp. With fifteen smaller illustrations in the text. Very good. Scarce offprint on rotundas in Ukraine, originally published in the scientific journal of the Historical Section of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences. Sichynskyi (1894-1962) was a Ukrainian architect, artist, publisher, and art historian, educated in St. Petersburg and Prague. He helped institute the Architectural Institute in Kiev and co-founded the Association of Independent Ukrainian Artists in Lviv in 1930. From 1943 he was imprisoned by the Gestapo in Berlin; in 1949 he emigrated and settled in the United States. He continued to actively work as an architect for many years. KVK, OCLC show the copies at Alberta, Harvard Fine Art, and ULB (Halle).
