Scarce offprint on rotundas in Ukraine, originally published in the scientific journal of the Historical Section of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences. Sichynskyi (1894-1962) was a Ukrainian architect, artist, publisher, and art historian, educated in St. Petersburg and Prague. He helped institute the Architectural Institute in Kiev and co-founded the Association of Independent Ukrainian Artists in Lviv in 1930. From 1943 he was imprisoned by the Gestapo in Berlin; in 1949 he emigrated and settled in the United States. He continued to actively work as an architect for many years.
