London: Sportsmans Book Club, 1968. 128pp., unpaginated, b/white halftone plate section (called-for plates all extant). Book clean and square. Bright gilt title over lightly bumped spine. Plain burgundy boards ditto bumped. Text-block slightly tanned only. Illustrated dustjacket has a small chip on rear panel, a jagged puncture on spine, else mild edgewear. An entertaining biography from 'Phanto', Australian cricket legend William Morris 'Bill' Lawry. A left-hand opening batsman, Lawry was variously described as run-hungry, dull, a cricketing scrooge . . . but above all he did not cede his wicket lightly. This is his story. First published 1966 by Souvenir Press. Contents include: Prelims., 15 chapters, Appendix. Book weight approx. 235g. *Postage charge will be reduced as this item will post under 500g. packed weight.
