The binding is soiled & foxed with the spine & extremities darkened & some tiny stains to the front wrap. The head of the spine is chipped. 43 & [2] pages and colophon with 16 pages of illustrations in gray & black on a cream ground. The contents are very good. Good. <p>Catalog of a collection of 153 scientific instruments assembled by J. A. Billmeir and exhibited by Frank Partridge & Sons. The instruments, which include sundials, astrolabes, armillary spheres, nocturnals and topographical instruments, illustrate the advance of astronomy and mathematics from the thirteenth to the eighteenth century. The introduction to the catalog is by C. H. Josten.
