Notable for containing the poem "Dinosauria, we," which inspired the title for John Dullaghan's 2003 documentary "Bukowski: Born Into This." In a very good dust jacket with a couple short closed tears, and some droplet stains to the rear panel. This copy SIGNED and INSCRIBED by Gluck on the leaf opposite the half-title to fellow author and literary critic David Madden: "For David, with warm wishes. Louise Gluck." Madden's ownership signature appears on the front free endpaper, as does the previous owner, fellow North Carolina poet and author [Katherine] "Bonnie" Soniat. Gluck's second book is scarce in the first printing, especially signed, and particularly in the time since Gluck was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2020.

The author graduated Kennett (Missouri) High School in 1973. Copy of newspaper [DDD] article about the KHS reunion on Jan 18, 2004 laid in.
