Very Good/Good. 1952 reprint (F-B), gray cloth with red titles and illustration on front board, 260 pages, three color frontispiece matching front dust jacket cover, black and white illustrations, decorative endpapers; wear to extremities with a hint of fraying, clipped dust jacket is tattered and worn with yellowed tape repairs on inside, lightly sunned spine. In this, the fifth book in the Little House series, the Ingalls family moves from their little house on the banks of Plum Creek to the unsettled wilderness of the Dakota Territory.
