Berlin/Leipzig: Friedrich Ernst Hübsch, 1931. Small quarto (26.5 × 19.5 cm). Original linen boards, attractively printed in blue and black; dust wrapper; [7] leaves of text, [16] leaves of reproductions, and [10] leaves of ads. Boards very lightly rubbed; overall a very good copy. Published as part of the extensive series "Neue Werkkunst" (1925-1932), which contained illustrated monographs on contemporary architects, especially representatives of Neues Bauen. The present work profiles various subsidized housing estates planned in the modernist style by the government master-builder Gustav Hochhaus, including one on Alsen-Straße in Berlin-Zehlendorf and the large quarter on Germania-Straße in Berlin Tempelhof. Hochhaus also designed the Bärenpark residential quarter, which is a protected landmark.
The "Neue Werkkunst" series was published in a small print run. As of February 2021, KVK and OCLC show two copies worldwide, at Munich and Zurich.
