Ely, accused by a pettifogging Democratic apparatchik of Socialism; the pamphlet recounts other instances of controversies regarding academic freedom, and the making and installing of the commemorative plaque featuring the title quote. First published in 1949 by the University, here reprinted by the Class of 1910, who originally sponsored the plaque. Stapled pamphlet, tan cover.
