A complete run in 42 issues of the scarce French news and sound journal published with the assistance of the radio station Europe No 1 and edited by Cl. Claude-Maxe, Ithier de Roquemaurel, and Jean-Pierre Castel, each issue comprised of six record-style sound sheets related to the news, culture, and happenings in contemporary France and abroad, the records playable without removing them from the binding, each accompanied by a brief printed description. Illustrated profusely throughout from photographs. Some slight handling wear, some of the sound sheets loose from bindings but present. Square 8vo. Original colorful photographic wrpps. with plastic and metal spiral bindings, some slight warping to a couple of covers, minor soiling and handling wear, small area of loss to front cover of issue no. 1, overall very fine. Paris (Sonopresse) 1958-1962. In the introduction to the first issue, the editors refer to Sonorama as "ce magazine qui se lit avec l'oreille". Very rare; as of December 2019, WorldCat locates only two holdings of this magazine in North American libraries.
