This volume has been inspected and certified as a perfect copy on Sept. 30th, 1967 signed by Yoshiharu Iisaka, Kyoto, Printing Company, Ltd., Tokyo, Japan. Imperial folio with sixty colour plates accompanied by descriptive text, facsimiles of the rare illustrated wrappers of each ten parts in which the book was originally published from the original 1847 edition published by Thomas M'Lean of London. On his arrival in 1844, Angas began his extensive travels throughout South Australia, travelling through the Mount Lofty Ranges to the Murray River and down to Lake Coorong, sketching the countryside, native animals and the customs and dwellings of the Narrinyeri people.
