London: Bradbury, Agnew & Co., 1880. Hardcover. Good. Phiz (Hablot Knight Browne); John Leech. Six volumes of Surtees' popular humorous hunting themed novels. Featuring 88 hand coloured steel engraved plates by John Leech and Hablot Knight Browne (Phiz) plus hand-coloured title pages and dozens of b/w wood engravings within the text. No date but c.1880. 8vo. (230x160mm) Half leather with marbled boards, matching marbling to end-papers. Top edge gilt. One label to spine missing, others faded, some replaced. Light foxing to fore-edges but contents bright and clean, bindings nice and tight. Good.
