Prepared under direction of Lieut. Col. Chas. E. L. B. Davis, Corps of Engineers, US Army. Contains: sources of information for traffic data and valuations, stats for canal post office, historical notes, value of total freight carried, vessel dimensions, saw logs and pulp wood rafted down St. Marys Rapids, expenses for operating and care of canal, etc.
