Per the colophon, "the title page portrait is reproduced from a drawing by William Oberhardt. The book was composed on Monotype Goudy Modern at the Thistle Press, printed at the Peter Pauper Press on Curtis Colophon Text, and bound by H. Wolff, New York." The essay was reprinted for Goudy's Centennial and remains a seminal volume in any Goudy bibliography, particularly because, as the copyright page notes, it was "Goudy's favorite biography.
