Toledo, OH: Locke Publishing Co.. Good+ with no dust jacket. 1880. Hardcover. Brown cloth hardback. Contains an Introduction by Charles Sumner and 23 black and white illustrations by Thomas Nast. Text block is tight but binding is fragile but holding. End papers are dark brown with breaks at both front and back gutters. Blindstamping to front cover and spine with gilt to spine faded and hard to read. One and a half inch tears at spine top and frayed half inch at bottom. Wear to edges with rounded corners. Overall age-tanning. No marks. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 627 pages .
