About This Item

First US movie tie in edition first printing of the novel This Way Out which was made into the 1944 movie called The Suspect starring Charles Laughton and Ella Raines. Originally published in 1939. A one inch tear to the bottom edge at the corner for the inside summary flap. There is a matching tear to the top corner. The head of the dustjacket's spine has several 1/4 inch closed tears. The base of the dustjacket's spine has a 2 inch semi closed tear that opens up into a 3/4 inch chip. On the edges of the deckled cut pages there is a small stain. In good / good condition.
