Prague: J. N. Jindra, 1932. Quarto (29 × 22.2 cm). Portfolio, consisting of text, in embossed cloth wrappers; viii, [1], 15, [2], 63, [2], 56, [4] pp., as well as 29 pattern papers and folding diagram in facing red cloth slipcase (boards measure 29.5 × 22.5 cm). Corners of case scuffed; gilt to front board and spine lightly discolored; private library stamp to title; else internally very good and complete. Interesting Czech guidebook for sewing various kinds of underwear, children's clothing, menswear and women's dresses, based on the included patterns and with detailed instructions. The text part is separated into three sections, on children's, men's, and women's clothing, with illustrations to versos, showing an attractive range of 1920s clothing, ranging from Art Deco and Flapper-inspired dresses, to more conservative styles. Editions from 1930 and 1934 are also documented, as as a German-language version; all are scarce with the loosely inserted folded cutting patterns. Outside the Czech Republic, KVK, OCLC only show the copy at the Wolfsonian.
