Three clean hardbacks tightly bound in matching contemporary bindings of red half leathercloth with gilt titles over black watered silk, ornate patterned endpapers, cloth has wear at edges & corners, pages are age-toned, page edges untrimmed, no inscriptions. x + 194 + 216 + 208 pages, over 200 illustrations on plates (several are hand-coloured), index. The revised 3rd edition; six parts in three volumes. Very heavy set (over 6kg unpacked) usual postage charges will not apply to overseas destinations .

Illustrated with 12 folding copper plates. Large stain to the bottom of the first few pages. Gutters starting, but holding. Some scuffing to spine. A few of the plates have small closed tears. Philadelphia: Thomas Dobson, 1792. First Edition. Leather bound. Good. 8vo. 438 pages. 2 pages of publisher advertisements in back. Illustrated with 12 copper engravings. Brown calf leather binding with red leather title label on spine. Light to moderate toning to pages. The second folding illustration has a closed split on one of the folds. Another folding illustration is chipped on the edges with small loss. Toning and light damp stains to the illustrations. Previous owner ink inscription - "Saml B. Dwight's Philadelphia November 1815" written on the title page. "Cost 9/4 Samuel Dwight's Philadelphia 1815" written on page 3.
