This Easton Press Collector's Edition is bound in red, genuine leather, with elegant gilt design to boards, gilded page-edges, and endpapers of caramel-colored, silk-moire fabric. The classic hubbed spines of four raised bands have 22K gold accents and there is a permanent satin ribbon page marker. The pages are thread-sewn for strength and durability, have long-lasting, acid-neutral, archival quality paper, and a handsome, readable typeface. Bottom corners lightly nudged. Frontispiece portrait of the author painted by Robert J. Lee. 472 pp The translations by Lafcadio Hearn and others chosen & with an introduction by Justin O'Brien The illustrations from water-colors by Gunter Bohmer.
