The story takes begins in 15th century Hungary; it's central character, Wladislaw Brenryk, is forced to join a werewolf pack through the weird power of an alien creatre known as "The Master". This first volume chronicles seven encounters with that monstrous alien and its vengeance of those descended from Brenryk.
