Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Light tanning to spine and edges. The unclipped dust jacket has heavy edge wear, with tears, chips and areas of loss. Light tanning to spine and edges.

Light blue coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. Donald Caskie was Minister of the Scottish Kirk, Paris, when Germans invaded. On the Gestapo Black List he escaped and engaged in underground work. He was then arrested, sentenced to death by Nazis, passed through seven camps, & survived. Shelf wear to the bottom edges of the book and the head and the heel of the spine are slightly softened. Dust marks to the top paper edge and there are other marks to the book panels. Booksellers sticker on the front paste down, and there is a gift inscription on the free front end paper, but, more importantly there is a piece cut out from the ffep., measuring 2.5" x 4.5" . Unclipped dust jacket with minor rubbing, chipping and tearing to edges. Some minor tanning, creasing and scuffing overall.
