Paris: Laplace, Sanchez et Cie, 1872. . 2 volumes. Folio, vol. I: 21 very fine hand-colored plates, xi and 582 +[2] pp.; vol. II: 20 hand-colored plates. [4], vii and 462 pp. The first volume is foxed throughout, and in particular the tissue guards of the plates. The plates themselves are amazingly clean. Binding is black patterned paper over boards with cloth spine, some wear. The Renaissance volume is somewhat foxed, has no tissue guards and the plates are clean. The cloth spine is lacking and the front board is detached. SOLD AS IS
