Two volumes; Octavo; pp. I; 327 with index II; 382; Illustrated, sepia frontispiece portraits in each volume plus thirty-five black and white photographs; Decorated brown cloth, gilt, top edges gilt;. Volume I is the Autobiography and Volume II contains the Musical Pograms. Thomas was a German born violinist and conductor. He is considered the first renowned American orchestral conductor and was the founder and first music director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. A nice set.
