SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR RUDOLF SAND - Large octavo, dark blue cloth titled in gilt on the spine with an illustration of a goat's magnificently horned head stamped in gilt within a double-gilt frame on the front cover. The book is housed in a navy blue slipcase. The slipcase is lightly rubbed with a few light stains to the top corner of its rear panel. ix, [1] leaf & 289 pages plus 5 blank pages headed "Remarks". Profuse photographic illustrations in black & white and color. Fine in a very good slipcase.
First edition, limited to one thousand numbered copies signed by the author. This is copy number 458.
An unusual hunting book, the second in the Safari Press "Hunting in High Altitudes Series"
Among the animals hunted are Alpine Ibex, Nubian Ibex, Cyprus Urial, Nilgari Tahr, Pakistani Sind Goat and Kamchatka Sheep.
