Dominique de Menil wrote the introductory text, from which the following: "As children, we were all poets. We traveled through distant lands while poring over old maps--like Baudelaire. To recapture the flavor of these childhood dreams, images and objects have been assembled; eighteenth century maps, early railroad posters, illustrations for tales of travels, sculptures from exotic lands, canvases and drawings of Sunday painters... this exhibition is a sort of optical instrument focused on inside visions. It is a do -it-yourself show. We provide dream material. The dreams are yours." Pages not numbered, but 91 items listed.
