Written originally during World War Two when the Author was a POW in Stalag and later serialised in the 'Sporting Globe', this revision of a novel about steeplechasing includes the 'unique setting' of Oakbank, where spectators can 'almost lean across and touch the horses, whilst at the same time watch every jump on its flowing, beautiful course'. Author's signed and inscribed presentation copy. An about fine copy in like dust-jacket.
