first edition. NY, Covici Friede, 1935, first edition, first printing, wrappers. Softcover.
The dust jacket is glued at the spine and then wrapped around the book, these wrappered copies were issued in advance of the hardcover, probably for review and/or promotion, this was Steinbeck's breakthrough book, it follows the antics of Monterey's Mexican-American paisanos, although it is actually an allegory story of the Knights and the Round Table, Goldstone & Payne A4a, illustrated by Ruth Gannett, this copy is an Association Copy being presented by Alice B. Toklas to an unknown recipient ("From Alice B. Toklas/Paris, March 1945), Toklas was the lifelong companion of Gertrude Stein, the first trade hardcover was one of 4,000 copies, this wrappered advance copy is one of just 500 copies, especially scarce with this association. Spine faded, else a very good, solid copy, scarce in this format.

The original Krome Kraft product catalog with a profusion of half-tone illustrations, depicting hundreds of named and numbered Krome Kraft pieces in all their chromium plated hollowware glory. This product catalog is further distinguished by a constant stream of flowery prose: "Make drinking a joy! Make hospitality a delight! Welcome becomes double welcome when offered in these sparkling hostess sets of fine glass and finest quality Chromium Plate." Lacking any laid-in price lists but otherwise an exhaustive survey of the Krome Kraft product line from the days when they manufactured at the factory on 15 Crosby Street in New York City…

London, United Kingdom: Faber and Faber, 1989 UNCORRECTED ADVANCE PROOF BOUND COPY for the cased and paperback editions (actually copied by Faber from corrected page proofs). Prepublication first edition. [Probable publication date: 18 September 1989.] 55pp. Green soft cover. Clean text pages. "Wolfwatching" was Hughes' 14th collection of poetry - he digs deeply into his own childhood and his family history, as well as writing about nature's violence and the meaning he finds in it. Included in the collection is the poem "The Black Rhino" written for the purpose of raising funds to save this endangered animal. The Library Journal considered reading Wolfwatching was "like visiting a zoo envisioned by Hieronymus Bosch: we're caught between fright and fascination". He was married to the American poet Sylvia Plath until her death in 1963. Ted Hughes is considered one of England's finest modern poets - winning the Whitbread Book of the Year in two…

Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 1983. First Edition. Paperback. Very Good. Unrevised, Uncorrected Proofs in plain, mustard-yellow wrappers. Kincaid's first book, a collection of short stories. Uncommon in this format, and in excellent condition other than what was done to it in FSG's mailroom: a small photocopy of the dustjacket copy proof, with ISBN, publication date, and price, was taped to the inner front cover. Once FSG would get these proofs from Crane Duplicating Service, they'd put an ink stamp on the cover in which they would fill in the price and publication date, which they did here in red ballpoint pen. A couple of small smudges to the rear cover and light toning to the edges, else Fine. In stock, ready to ship now from Evanston, IL!
