Soil, light foxing, dampstains, and adhesive mark on endpapers. Light soil on text pages. Half-inch piece missing from last free endpaper. Map is missing. An early travel guide for Illinois, written by a Methodist minister who traveled throughout the state preaching. James Mason Peck had written an earlier "New Guide for Emigrants", with some of the information reprinted in this directory's appendix.
