London: William Macintosh, 24, Paternoster-Row, 1868.. 1868.. Very good. - Octavo, printed self-wraps, disbound, removed. 20 pages. Illustrated with tables. The page edges are slightly darkened. There is some staining to the title page with a tiny stain to the bottom edge of the last page. There is a small, light stain to page 2 & another to page 3. Very good. <p>The author contends that during the period 1852-1868, the expenditures of the Liberal administrations [under Lord Palmerston with Gladstone as Chancellor of the Exchequer], exceeded those of Conservative administrations, even allowing for the expenses of the Crimean War.<p>Scarce. No copies are located by COPAC.
