About This Item

Publisher: Nelson, London, 1978, 1st edition 61 Pages with colored photos throughout. Book is in as new condition. Pages are crisp and tight. Minor bumping on bottom of spine. The dustjacket has minor shelf wear and one tear at the bottom right corner. The discovery of Tutankhamen's spectacular tomb in 1922 revealed a burial treasure of unsurpassed beauty. It also revived the old legend of the curse of the Pharaohs. In an impressive combination of text and color plates, this book recreates the life and times of the young Egyptian king and describes the discovery which was to make him, after 3000 years, the subject of one of the most romantic and exciting moments in modern archaeology.
