He briefly visited the US in 1923, where he was a contributor to Carlo Tresca's newspaper Il Martello and a witness for the defense in Tresca's trial for sending obscene material through the mail. (Nunzio Pernicone, Carlo Tresca: Portrait of a Rebel, p153). He was arrested at a rally in Paterson, NJ in 1924 and subsequently deported.
