Toronto: McClelland & Stewart, 1939. First Canadian Edition.. Cloth. Very Good/Good. 311 pp. Assumed first Canadian edition; seldom offered in dust-jacket. Bright boards have several small water stains; head and tail of spine bumped. Dust-jacket is chipped and worn with very top of spine and bottom inch missing. The flaps extol Wodehouse's honorary D.Litt. from Oxford and list 28 other titles by him.
Synopsis
Uncle Fred in the Springtime is a novel by P.G. Wodehouse, first published in the United States on August 18 1939 by Doubleday Doran, New York, and in the United Kingdom on August 25 1939 by Herbert Jenkins, London. It is set at the idyllic Blandings Castle, home of Clarence, Earl of Emsworth, the fifth full-length novel to be set there.
