About This Item
Canongate / Q Press, Edinburgh - 1979 hardcover, 5¾" x 8¾", with dust jacket VERY GOOD book in VERY GOOD unclipped dust jacket In 1976 Richard Savin was arrested on the Iranian border and imprisoned for allegedly smuggling drugs from Pakistan into Iran. The charge was trumped-up and the author never received a legal trial in spite of British Foreign Office protests. His book contains startling accounts of mass killings, the scale of which the outside world is still ignorant. Richard Savin's secret diaries were written in prison and smuggled out by various foreign prisoners, and slowly brought back together following his release after 2½ years.
