London: Printed for the translator and to be sold by Richard Wilkin et al., 1728. The five books are contained within a single volume. The binding is original. The leather binding has a raised knapp. Raised bands to the spine. The title onlay on the spine is worn and chipped and reads 'Mason. By Lindsay.' Front joint cracked; rear partially cracked, light wear to corners, chips to head of the spine. The binding holds together soundly. Boards bow outwards and the pages are crinkled. Damp stains to the bottom margin of few pages at the back (pp. xxvii-xxxiii, + a few index pages). Small old worming groove to the rear pastedown near hinge, and two small holes to rear free endpapers. There are two names (one stamped, one written; both fairy contemporary to the book) on the title page. pp .A. 1-4 List of Subscribers, cxxvi, 623, xlii, + index. Inscriptions on endpapers and blank adjacent leaves containing family records for former owner Samuel Davis (1766-1809), his wife Sarah Leedom Davis (1764-1806), Ruth Anna Davis (1801-1846) (presumably their daughter), her husband William Chandler (1787-1878), and their 10 children. Burials are noted as being "at the Valley," at Kennett Square, and at Union Hill. Written in upper part of title page: "Friends' Boarding Haus Kennet Square, Pa." Job Scott (1751-1793) was an American Quaker travelling minister.
