Very good. - Large octavo, cream cloth titled in gilt on spine with sketch of a nude female performer stamped in black on front cover, in dw. The spine & extremities are very slightly darkened & there is staining to the bottom edges of the covers & the tail of the spine. The dw is soiled & creased with tears to the top & bottom edges. 352 & [4] pp. Color frontispiece & profuse B&W illustrations. The endpapers are soiled & the page edges are very slightly darkened, else the contents are very good. <p>Limited edition of 500 numbered copies.<p>A study of private erotic theatricals in the seventeenth, eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The text is in German.
