Stated "First Printing" on copyright page. In publishers dust jacket, $2.50 on front flap, light wear at edges and along front seam. (Wilson A38). Other works by Gertrude Stein include: "The Autobiography of Alice B. Toklas" (1933): This quasi-memoir, written in the voice of Stein's life partner, Alice B. Toklas, became a bestseller and brought Stein significant mainstream attention. "Q.E.D." (1903): A novel that revolves around a lesbian romantic affair, involving several of Stein's friends. "Three Lives" (1905), "The Making of Americans" and "Tender Buttons" (1914).
