A very good, presentable set showing some gentle handling, minor sunning etc. All wrappers unclipped, trade synopsis tucked into volume six. Randolph Churchill began this biography of his father, completing two of the main volumes and two of the companions by the time of his death in 1968. Having served as his research assistant, Sir Martin Gilbert completed the vast project nineteen years later. By the time he completed the task he had read 19,000 books and 15 tons of private correspondence relating to his subject.
