INSCRIBED & SIGNED BY CHISIE FARRINGTON - Octavo, teal cloth titled in silver on the spine with a fishing vignette on the front cover, in a pictorial dust wrapper. The corners and head and tail of the book's spine are bumped and darkened with fading along the front gutter. The soiled dust jacket is chipped along the edges with several small pieces out. xiv, [iv] & 238 pages, illustrated with a frontispiece and several pages of photographs. Very good in a good dust wrapper. <p>First edition.<p>Inscribed & signed by Chisie Farrington in blue ink on the front endpaper: "To the Scudder Griffings top surf casters and best friends - With all good wishes - Chisie Farrington".<p>S. Kip Farrington, Jr.'s "Field & Stream Magazine" calling card is laid in at the front.<p>Sara Chisolm "Chisie" Farrington was an internationally known angler with 7 world records to her credit. A pioneer in international big- game fishing, she wrote fishing articles for Harpers Bazaar, Vogue and Mademoiselle and authored "Women Can Fish". Her husband, Selwyin Kip Farrington, was a stockbroker who gave up a career on Wall Street to become one of the world's leading sports fishermen. The couple often traveled in the company of big game adventurers including Ernest Hemingway and Alfred Cassell.
