A pioneer in international big- game fishing, she wrote fishing articles for Harpers Bazaar, Vogue and Mademoiselle and authored "Women Can Fish". Her husband, Selwyin Kip Farrington, was a stockbroker who gave up a career on Wall Street to become one of the world's leading sports fishermen. The couple often traveled in the company of big game adventurers including Ernest Hemingway and Alfred Cassell.
