Original half calf and marbled boards, ribbon bookmark. Covers and tips rubbed and scuffed, spine ends chipped, lacking leather spine label, offsetting at corners and gutter ends of the endpapers (due to leather turn-in), hinges started, small gift ink inscription to title-page dated 1875. Otherwise a very good, clean copy. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Octavo.

Freeman 41. The preface is signed "J. A.". The fine copper-engraved botanical plates show the leaves, flowers, seeds of each plant. A picture of this book is available on request by email.
