She was the first woman inducted into the Royal Geographical Society, an honorary fellow of the Royal Scottish Geographical Society, a member of the Royal Photographic Society and an honorary member of the Oriental Society of Peking. Cordier, Sinica, 355. Robinson, Wayward Women, pp. 81-83. Lge 8vo, xv, 557pp, with folding colored map and 116 photographic illustrations. Complete with the errata slip (browned), top edge gilt and others untrimmed. Original green pictorial cloth, spine sunned, rubbed, marked and spine tips damaged. Internally a very nice copy.
