This is a fun rhyming book that the younger set loves to hear over and over. We read it via "call and response" method where I say the first two words and the little ones jump in to finish the sentence. It's the most requested book at our house.
A very compelling presentation of what was involved in crossing the ocean in the era of sailing ships. I read this in order to get a better understanding of what my ancestors would have experienced in coming to this continent via sail--and it was a real eye-opener. A very readable and beautifully illustrated history of sea travel before the age of steam.
