Volume II begins President Grover Cleveland and ends with Harry Truman. Both Volumes give the reader an account of the planning for the White House during George Washington's Administration and all successive remodeling and expansions. More importantly, perhaps, the Author leads us through each President's time in the White House, their family and personal life, as well as the social gatherings and impact of the First Ladies.
