Small octavo (20.25cm.); original simulated cloth in pictorial dust jacket; 191pp. Very light wear to jacket extremities, minor soil to textblock edges, a few brief marks in black sharpie to title page and p. [192] (some bleeding through), else Near Very Good or better. The first of the author's Cadfael series, considered to be one of the best historical mystery novels of all time according to The Wall Street Journal (2010) and is featured on the list the Top 100 Crime Novels of All Time issued by the Crime Writers' Association (Britain).

Synopsis

A Morbid Taste for Bones is a medieval mystery novel by Ellis Peters, first published in 1977. It was adapted for television in 1996 by Central for ITV. It is the first novel in the Brother Cadfael series.
