Laid in are a publisher’s promotional bulletin for Martin’s upcoming book "Monsters of Old Los Angeles," and a newspaper clipping with a captioned photo of Martin at work at his typewriter. Two of Martin’s early books were adapted for shoot ‘em up Westerns, directed by and starring popular Western screen idol Buck Jones.
