Informative text includes history of the region as well as a Fijian language primer. Fine, in a Fine dust jacket. Inscribed and signed on the front endpaper and select internal pages by a number of Yasawa Islands natives in appreciation and farewell to the book’s previous owner, an American filmmaker. Also includes the warm inscription and autograph of Richard Evanson opposite his photographic portrait on page 69. Evanson is owner of Nanuya Levu island, renamed "Turtle Island" after purchase by him in the early 1970’s. Turtle Island is where both versions of the movie "The Blue Lagoon" were filmed. A beautiful book.
