Front and back covers detached; spine slightly chipped at top. Internally, front hinge previously repaired with sticky tape, which has stained gutter of front three pages. London: Heinemann, 1962. Very good +. Large 12mo, 169pp. Decorative boards with blue and white illustration of young man looking up at ship's mast and sails, with title in white on a black ground. Back cover is illustrated with a fox. Title on spine is off white on black ground. Spine is very lightly rubbed at base. Internally very clean. This volume of poetry by England's Poet Laureate is a presentation copy, signed by the author and dated May the 8th, 1963. The inscription also includes, copied out in the author's hand, the last four lines of Reynard the Fox, with an additional explanation, as follows, "(Written some six or seven miles from the beech wood described above, at Burcote on Thames.)."
