Montreal: Montreal Flood Commission, ca. 1883-1888. Fair. 38 fold-out maps, 25 cm when folded, various sizes unfolded. Mainly b&w with some colour. In remains of leather and black cloth folder or slipcase. No book or report included. Plans are rather fragile with some tears. Maps and diagrams of ice conditions on St. Lawrence River, Lake St. Louis, Lachine Rapids, near Victoria Bridge, Longue-Pointe, Varennes, Lake St. Francis, etc. 1883 to 1888. Plans indicate winter and spring levels of the St. Lawrence, speed of water currents, location of open water, ice thickness, etc.
