Author's Note to this selection explains that he chose sequences of poems from his most recent three collections, updating some, and individual poems from earlier. 8vo, yellow cloth with gilt lettering on black inset on spine, corners sharp, faint foxing to boards, edges and end papers; end papers stained tan from laid-in clippings. Unclipped, shelf-worn DJ has chip at crown, 1/4" tears to top of back panel. Pencil notation on ffep, pencil marks and one note in margins of fewer than 10 pages. Two laid-in clippings - one an unidentified response to this book, the other is the NYT obituary of Lowell from 1977.
