The British Museum originally published a catalogue of its collection of Greek coins in 29 volumes from 1873-1929. This is a scarce first edition of the volume dealing with Peloponnesus. 8vo, bound in the original blue cloth with gilt titles on spine. Lxiv + 230pp with 37 full page photographic plates of the coins. Several pages are uncut. The binding is cracked at the spine (see pictures) & there is edge ware Ex reference library with minimal markings, a 'Presented by the Trustees of the British Museum' bookplate on front pastedown, single stamp on front endpapers, decorative bookplate on rear pastedown, handwritten library number on reverse of title page & spine, no other obvious markings. Inner book is in very good condition.

The coins are briefly described with inscriptions given etc. Generally the inner book is in very good condition, some foxing, particularly to front, & one plate has a water stain. Ex reference library with minimal markings. Single blind stamp on title, preface, contents and first page and on last plate. No other obvious library markings.
