Reprint of "Analysis" article from the April 24, 1968 issue of Review of the News, as a separate pamphlet. John Birch Society viewpoint. John Birch Society perspective arguing that Martin Luther King Jr. might have been killed because he was no longer useful to his communist manipulators. Includes a very dishonest attack on Carl Braden for being arrested for "a little matter involving some dynamite" -- referring to his attempt to integrate an all white suburb in Kentucky where the racists used dynamite against the Black family.

Metro Manila: Cacho Hermanos, Inc, 1983. Paperback. 325p., illustrated only with two photoportraits within, one from the nineteenth century, plus the portrait collage on cover. Worn copy, covers very creased and abraded, a marginal bracket heavily penned at p.97, paperstock acidic and toned, faint dampstaining to both endsheet blanks. Item remains quite sound and handleable, oddly enough, and is otherwise clean and unmarked. As is. Author Joaquin is a practised writer and commands good English, despite the slightly eccentric titling; he is telling the story of the Aquinos as the Islands' entry into the modern age.

Cover story on JFK assassination and below the fold Student Activists take over Sproul Hall. The issue numbering for volume 5 got out of whack so we have stated the issue and whole number as printed though these may be incorrect.

Cover stories on the JFK assassination and a Hell's Angels stomp-down of people while the local Hippies call them Beautiful Angels. Photos and letter by Hap Stewart. Marvin Garson analyzes the NCNP Chicago meeting: "The Whites: a Clown Show" Issue numbering out of sequence throughout volume 5.

Oakland: The Black Panther Party, 1973. Newspaper. 20p. tabloid format newspaper, horizontal fold, minor nibbles at bottom edge. Cover story: "Who killed Marcus Foster?" It was done by the Symbionese Liberation Army, but the Panthers are dubious; the article links this attack on Foster with the recent NCLC labeling of Amiri Baraka as a "CIA agent" and the appearance of "an American Nazi Party pamphlet" distributed in San Leandro, warns a new wave of violence is pending. Editorial addresses the seriousness of the attack and the smear by "rumors and suggestions that the Black Panther Party had something to do with the Murder of Dr. Foster..." so that "Defense against attacks...will be the excuse for wholesale military assault." Mentions a letter being circulated by "a so-called Symbionese Liberation Army." Rear cover advertises a set of greeting cards by Emory Douglas.

Paterson, NJ: Libreria Sociologica, 1903. Pamphlet. 40p., staplebound pamphlet, cover toned with corner chips, otherwise good condition. Text in Italian. Text dated 1901, though this undated edition published by Italian American anarchists may have been printed slightly later; we find a claim online that the publishing house/bookstore 'Libreria Sociologica' was established in 1903. The Italian-born Bresci had established himself as a weaver in Paterson, New Jersey in the 1890s, where he was involved in the Italian anarchist community. He traveled back to Italy to kill the king, after which he was sentenced to penal servitude, the death penalty having been abolished. His 1901 hanging was declared a suicide, though many supporters believed he had been murdered.

Buffalo, NY: F. Richardson, 1964. Newsletter. 6p., 8.5x14 inch mimeographed newsletter, horizontal fold crease, otherwise very good. "An independent labor monthly." In addition to reports on various local labor issues and demonstrations, this issue includes a two-page cover article on "Suppressed evidence" in the Kennedy assassination, arguing that right-wingers would have had reason to commit the crime and pin blame on an avowed Communist like Oswald. The article is illustrated with a cartoon depicting Mark Lane seeking clues hidden by the FBI and the Warren Commission.

Seattle, WA: The Committee, 1989. Three issues of the 8.5x11 inch newsletter, folded for mailing, minor wear. Issue present are March, October, and December 1989; 4, 6, and 4 pages respectively. In 1981 Silme Domingo, a KDP organizer and union reform activist in ILWU Local 37, was assassinated in Seattle together with fellow union activist Gene Viernes. The Committee suspected that the two men had been targeted both for their union militancy and for their anti-Marcos activism. These newsletters report on legal efforts to find the Marcos regime guilty of ordering the killings. In 1990 the former ILWU Local 37 President, Tony Baruso was tried and convicted of organizing the assassination, allegedly at the behest of Ferdinand Marcos, who was ordered to pay the families $15 million.

Paris: Editions Èmile-Paul Freres, 1934. Paperback. 128p., wraps worn along the edges and spine, paper slightly browned, rear wrap stained. Text in French. Le crime dans l'histoire et la vie no. 8. Case of Sante Caserio (1874-1894), an Italian anarchist who attempted to assassinate the French president in 1894. He was executed by guillotine.

Havana: SNTECD, 2006. 64p. each, staplebound 11x8 inch glossy magazines printed on alkaline glazed paper, very good copies; the two together.

Mexico City: El Fenix, 1903. 44p. booklet, wraps worn with edge chipping, pages toned, stain at lower left corner. Not found in OCLC as of May 2020. Anti-anarchist tract, beginning with a consideration of fanaticism as a mental infirmity; discusses cases of anarchist assassination.

New York: McGraw-Hill, 1980. Hardcover. 640p., photo section, first edition (so indicated) blue-grey papered boards under a dark blue cloth backstrip lettered in silverfoil, and enclosed in the dust jacket. Find a charming small bookplate on the verso of front free endpaper. A very good copy in every respect. For a few years, Summers' was the book to go to, for a comprehensive single-book treatment. Remains a good background introduction. Henry Hurt, Jim Marrs, and Noel Twyman came along subsequently, each author with new and valuable contributions.
