Barre, VT: Biblioteca Circolo Studi Sociali, 1906. 107, [iv]p., staplebound booklet, 4.5x9 inches; wraps worn, chipped, and beginning to split along spine, rust at the staples, otherwise very good. Text in Italian. Cover art depicts a man fending off a vulture. Includes articles both on and by many of the anarchist writers of the period, and of course a couple of freethought articles. Barre, home of Italian-American stone and marble cutters, was the location of one of the earliest New England anarchist groups (est. 1894). During this period Luigi Galleani was the leader of the group.

Italian-language "Subversive almanac," with articles about the war and other contemporary events, tributes to the Haymarket martyrs and to Joe Hill, a calendar of historical anarchist events arranged by date, and selections of poetry and prose by noted anti-authoritarians.

Iglesias (Cagliari): RL, 1977. Pamphlet. 30p., staplebound pamphlet, 4.75x7.25 inches, pages lightly toned else very good condition. Text in Italian. An English version of this pamphlet titled "What is Anarchism?" was published in Boston in the same year. Boston-born Italian-American anarchist. Sanchioni's parents were anarchists who were involved with Luigi Galleani's group. He died in a boating accident in 1952, at the age of 34.

Arkin becomes stranded in Venice and finds himself acting as a caretaker in an art gallery closed to the public and owned by his former lover.

New York: Italian Library of Information, 1940. Paperback. 40p., mimeographed from typescript, 8.5x11 inches, bound with staples; ownership name stamped in corner of front cover, otherwise very good. The publisher was affiliated with Italy's fascist government. Opens with a quote from Mussolini.

Jersey City, New Jersey: Jersey City Museum, 2001. Pamphlet. Single sheet folded to make a 10-panel brochure, 5x7 inches, illus., very good condition. Brochure for an exhibit of Shahn's works inspired by the case of Sacco and Vanzetti held at the Jersey City Museum from September 12-December 16, 2001.

Rome / Ashfield MA: Bonacci Editore / Paideia Publishers, 1986. Paperback. 407p., large softbound in 9.5x6.5 inch glossy oxblood frenchfold wraps titled white. Slight edgewear with a tiny turn to front cover's upper corner-tip, else quite sound. Textblock is entirely clean and unmarked; a very good copy.

Unpaginated, perhaps 45 pages, light-green textured paperstock in sewn signatures with eighteen 5x7 inch color plates mounted opposite caption titles, plus nine-pages of Leo Stern's preface set with eccentric typography; softbound, a 7.5-inch-square paperback in coated black and bronze wraps. Covers are quite handled and a little edgeworn, hinge-area shows mild scarring from over-glueing by binder, mounting leaves are lightly bent at corner-tips, plates are uniformly very good. All in all, a good (good-only) copy. The artist's stylistic palette recalls the Beatles' cartoon movie, Yellow Submarine, but with a very very dark side. "Vancouver surrealistic painter..born in Trieste to a socially prominent and wealthy family. An architect, and painter of mittel-european back-ground..living in Vancouver since 1976." The introductory remarks by Stern are datelined Vienna 1977.

Only 5 in OCLC as of 12/2020. Damiani, active in anarchist publishing circles for most of his adult life, spent two decades in Brazil where there was an Italian anarchist community.

Collection of lectures give by the Italian anarchist activist and poet. She moved to New York in 1928 and died in 1933.
