99th Bomb Group, 1944. Newspaper. 8p. folded tabloid newspaper format newsletter with articles, reports, photos, very good on heavy white stock. This group was operating in the Mediterranean at the same time as Joseph Heller's 340th. no holdings located in OCLC as of 2/2022 but available as a pdf file at the 99th Bomber Group web site.

New York: The Cortes Society, 1917. Hardcover. First issue of this translation, a handsome small hardbound, buff boards bearing two-color title-label under brown buckram backstrip, also has a [spine]-title label. Find a small but very bad impact dent to tail of rear cover, causing a deep fissure in the buckram'd cover and severe wrinkles in the latter half of all text-leaf margins. Corner-tips are also damaged. Item looks good in a general way, physically tight and square, but within has another sort of damage: textblock was left untrimmed and signatures unopened, and there are long stretches "opened" by someone confidently ignorant of the how-to-to-its of opening connected leaves (use the flat of a table knife, close the book upon it, and pray to Caxton). Finally, both labels are dim, and the spine label also scuffed. Presentable, but a fair to good copy only. Documents and Narratives concerning the discovery and conquest of Latin America. Hawthorne, NJ: Citation Books, 1976. Paperback. 245p., 4.25x7 inches; wrappers somewhat foxed and toned, minor soil on text block edge, else in very good condition. Originally issued with an instruction sheet, our copy does not have it. Science fiction by a noted magician and writer on magic.

Detroit: the magazine, 1991. Magazine. New series volume VI, nos 2, 3 (March/April, May/June), whole numbers 31 and 32. Good copies with a little exterior handling and soil, but presentable, and entirely clean and unmarked within.

Hardcover. 2 volumes, a total of 1473 pages, ribbon bookmarks bound in, top corner of pages 863 to 879 bumped and wrinkled, else very good condition. Sets out to "prove that Serbia and Montenegro...had carried out an agression against the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, [and] that they have led an unprovoked war against it"-Foreward.

Los Angeles: UCLA Asian-American Studies Center, 1991. Magazine. Three issues of the journal, a complete run for the year 1991. Issues present are Vol. 17 Nos. 1-3. 206, 132, and 169p. respectively, wraps, 6x9 inches, very good condition. Number 1 is a special issue on War and Asian Americans.

Seoul: United Nations Command / Military Armistice Commission, 1983. Pamphlet. Unpaginated, about 22p., softbound, a small oblong pamphlet in 5x9 inch skyblue wraps, a little edgeworn but quite sound, and entirely clean and unmarked. UNC PAM #360-1.

Paris: Pierre Roger & [Co.], 1914. Paperback. 248., paperback, 7.75x5.25 inches; minor foxing on fore-edge, ex-library stamp on verso of front wrapper, 20 plates present and one map, hinge cracked. Collection Les Pays Moderne.

Vienna: WORLD COUNCIL OF PEACE, 1963. Magazine. Ten issues, 9x13 inches printed on very thin paper, illustrated, many creases, bumps, and wear showing on wraps, otherwise in good condition. Note: all pages lose in wraps, no binding. The World Council of Peace was one of many initiatives around "world peace" that was supported or initiated by the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in the 1950s and 1960s.

Prishtina, Kosovo: Dituria Islame, 2000. Hardcover. 318p., profusely illustrated with color photos of destroyed Mosques in Kosovo, gift insription by the grand Mufty of Kosovo, text in Albanian, English, and Arabic.

Atglen PA: Schiffer Military History, 2008. Hardcover. 288p., mammoth heavy pictorial hardbound in glossy laminated boards, 11.5x8.5 inches, and enclosed in the ditto-pic dust jacket. Glazed alkaline paperstock, illustrated with amazing period photoillustrations and many current portraits, color and/or b&w as called-for. A wowser of a book in near-new condition, perfectly sound, clean and unmarked, while the dust jacket is slightly edgeworn, no damage whatsoever. This cataloguer haunted the Naval Postgrad School in the mid-1950s (his mother was librarian) and nothing like this was available, at least not to twelve-year-olds --although having the run of the valuable "Janes All-the-Worlds Aircraft" compendia and thousands of others.

Hardbound in 8.5x5.5 inch green cloth boards titled in red and enclosed in the dust jacket, book itself has a mild sprinkle of foxing to top edge, edgeworn dj has a half-inch chip to tail of spine panel and is neatly price-clipped, a very good copy: sound, clean, unmarked. Paperback. 36p., self-wraps; (Trade Union Labor) presswork on glazed alkaline paperstock, profusely illustrated with nice small line-drawn vignettes and b&w aerial photographs, each with extensive captioning. Softbound, a 9x7 inch pamphlet. Quite a bunch of designs, commercial and military, virtually none of which are still in use/operational, some may be experimental singletons. A bit edgeworn with light crimping to covers and text leaves, no markings or soil within (the exterior a little rubbed & dusty), absolutely sound, a good copy.
